Hey, young whippersnapper... not all of us "older folks" demographic are so into politics. When Calacanis first changed around Netscape, I peeked in a lot even though I didn't participate, per se. Now I barely peek in at all. I have my own personal opinions when it comes to politics, but I don't use my online time to read neverending debates on the topic. I'd rather read about television, check out photography, see the latest tech or online community news... not politics. Perhaps it's middle-aged men who are there, but this "older folk" woman wants nothing to do with it!

I kept hoping for a photography channel to materialize but I've given up. Without a channel to focus me, it's not worth putting in the effort on the site. Too much to wade through trying to connect with those on the site who do share my interests.

That said, I still find myself logged in about once or twice a week. They've got some good tools to keep me informed but once I'm done with my point of interest, it's hard to wade through the rest of the mix.

A lot of what I read on the Netscape looks a lot like the nonsense on the AOL News boards. Been there, done that.
