The bribe is like an insurance policy for good business. If you filter out the employees who don't support your mission, you will likely be able to execute on it more successfully.

If I was a business owner, I'd rather pay to let someone go, then to let them damage my business' reputation. Vincent Ferrari anyone?

  • The real "benefit" of the bribes is that none of the takers can receive unemployment benefits or things like borrower's protection for their home loans, since it's voluntary separation. I'd also like to see what kind of waivers the employees have to sign in order to get the money.

Eh, looks like it's a one-time offer after they complete the training; not a disciplinary measure.
