Lorelei,

But you see, we all must think about these issues, even if we don't possess such hot property. Think of all the employees that hold onto your personal information and might store it on their laptop.

What comes to mind are: Mortgage and loan processors, paperwork pushers, HR folks (in any company), and of course any business that accepts credit cards. I can rightfully assume that if small businesses neglect to shred documents and make them available for dumpster divers, why would they take precaution with their computers.

However, yes I did have a vacation. I had my laptop in my possession during the whole time, or it was secured in a house with an attack dog and alarms. It's a calculated risk we all take when we don't want to take our laptop to the bar. ;-)

Thanks for dropping by and commenting. Must be enjoying the free time, eh?

Yes, obviously I don't have to think about these issues anymore. ;-) And as you said, you don't always have to follow all these rules -- which is good for you to acknowledge since I remember your vacation to AZ wasn't spent incognito. lol
