DaWhoo,

Thanks for commenting. I'm curious who you are, possibly we worked together? (E-mail me, joemanna at gmail dot com).

Anyhow, I partially agree. AOL is a business which isn't aimed at employee satisfaction. From my understanding AOL sold the PHI call center to eTelecare, but at the same time renewed the contracts. In any case, I bet it was for the long term strategy of bailing out of Philippines, despite the tremendous amount of talent there.

It should also be noted, AOL also sold off their last Bangalore, India based operations to another BPO provider, Aegis. (http://www.paidcontent.org/entry/419-aol-sells-its-last-call-center-to-aegis/)

AOL didn't care about the employees in the Philippines. They sold it to Etelecare and that's it no nothing else. They left fast just like a finger snap.

I guess we should've sold at $22/share. Whoops! I still want to hold out hope though.

Time Warner did not acquire AOL. America Online, Inc. acquired Time Warner.
