Some things I've learned on this road trip:

- The White House looks bigger on TV

- Dulles water is worse than Phoenix water

- Project Runway and that Housewives of Orange County show are totally enthralling for *both* of us

- There's a place in Tennessee called "Hungry Mother State Park". Uh, did she know about WIC?

- Children (or those with the maturity level thereof) are really enthusiastic about this presidential campaign. Someone carved "RON PAUL" into the stall door of a truck stop bathroom we stopped at. Even better, someone scratched it out and carved "OBAMA" below it.

- According to a condom machine in another truck stop bathroom, AIDS doesn't spread if you're married and monogamous. But just in case, you can buy some glow-in-the-dark condoms, or condoms "selected from other cultures". Because the ones in Africa are working so well. I wish I had 4 quarters.
