This is MIKE JONES’ phone number. He says it in his songs, since he wasn’t that popular. Now that his ‘Back Then’ song exploded, he has a $250,000.00 phone bill from Sprint. He later switched to a new carrier. *LOL*
Mike Jones 281-330-8004, Out of Order message from Sprint
I’d cancel my service with Sprint too if I had a quarter million dollar cell phone bill.
[Update 9/30/05]
Did a little more research, flagged by rfbandit… it wasn’t $250k bill, as that was just an april fool’s joke. However, per about.com (reputable source)
So many people called him that his Cingular bill soared to $1,000 a month. He shopped around for a better phone company, got another cell number and not only did his bills go down to around $150 a month, his new number, 281-330-8004, blew up so big, phone companies jocked him to promote their services.
Funny
Woo!
20.
One more year and I can buy my own alcohol, and gamble.
Yay for me!

The editions are as follows:
* Starter Edition
* Home Basic Edition
* Home Premium Edition
* Professional Edition
* Small Business Edition
* Enterprise Edition
* Ultimate Edition
Last but not least, there’s Ultimate Edition. Hey, I’m just glad that they didn’t call it Extreme Edition. I’ll leave it to Paul Thurrott, who has all of the details, to explain (and promote) this beast:
The best operating system ever offered for a personal PC, optimized for the individual. Windows Vista Ultimate Edition is a superset of both Vista Home Premium and Vista Pro Edition, so it includes all of the features of both of those product versions, plus adds Game Performance Tweaker with integrated gaming experiences, a Podcast creation utility (under consideration, may be cut from product), and online “Club” services (exclusive access to music, movies, services and preferred customer care) and other offerings (also under consideration, may be cut from product). Microsoft is still investigating how to position its most impressive Windows release yet, and is looking into offering Ultimate Edition owners such services as extended A1 subscriptions, free music downloads, free movie downloads, Online Spotlight and entertainment software, preferred product support, and custom themes. There is nothing like Vista Ultimate Edition today. This version is aimed at high-end PC users and technology influencers, gamers, digital media enthusiasts, and students.

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people”
I can’t stand this crap. Its really annoying to see people mix politics and relief efforts. This action reflects on not just you as an artist, but to take the stand on a public show; and address this issue as if you are the spokesperson for Black people, you certainly reiterate the negative images in peoples heads. Good Job!
Singer Kanye West (who is black), in a promotional TV appearance with Mike Meyers (who is white) for the NBC telethon to raise money for Katrina victims.
[Kanye -- not reading from teleprompter, as planned]: “I hate the way they portray us in the media. If you see a black family it says they are looting if you see a white family it says they are looking for food. (…) those are my people down there. (…) “We already realize a lot of the people that could help are at war now fighting another way and they’ve given them permission to go down and shoot us.”
[Meyers, visibly uncomfortable, reads from prompter script. Camera cuts back to Kanye, who pauses, then says]
“George Bush doesn’t care about black people!”
[camera abruptly switches back to a stunned Myers, then to actor Chris Tucker]

In a city that is more an open sewer than anything else right now thousands are still refusing to leave New Orleans, this in spite of the fact that over 60% of the city is still under water. They are actually hiding from authorities sent to get them out.
That’s crazy, still more…
About ten thousand people are still believed to be inside the flooded city which is now surrounded by a toxic mix of oil, chemicals, garbage, human waste and floating corpses. Testing of the floodwaters has revealed E. coli levels a million times higher than what the EPA allows for recreational waters. These levels are the equivalent of what you would find in raw sewage.
New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has issued a mandatory evacuation order giving those residents still in the city until 6 P.M. today (local time) to vacate the city or be forced out. New Orleans Police Chief Eddie Compass has said that police would forcibly remove holdouts once those still seeking to evacuate voluntarily have done so.
Just leave, houses and belongings can be rebuilt. FEMA will help you. Just save yourselves! I can understand like getting in a bunker for high winds, and hope your house is still standing, but this place is now not suitable for people to live there. Its under sea level, and well, its now time to seek higher lands.

This is just great, $3.09/gallon for 87 Octane gas; totalling $31 to fill my car. I’m really glad I don’t own a Mustang, Camaro, or Firebird. This is where four bangers can get their pride from. Its now (even more so) a luxury to drive.
Anyhow, I dislikethe oil companies; they are quite obviously profiting well from this natural disaster in Louisiana; however, I will say I commend Cheveron for donating $5 Million for the relief efforts. Same for Exxon-Mobile, donating $7 Million. I feel they just did this for good PR, but still, its good they donated to it. AOL-TimeWarner hasn’t published on their sites how much they donated; however, AOL does run the NetworkForGood website to help in distributing donations accordingly. AOL has done a good effort of sending marketing popups for NFG when subscribers sign on. I would expect and recommend TWX offer a dollar for dollar matching campaign - which would be great.
I’m glad people are still out for looking for alternatives. My roommate Mark has read up on E-85 Fuel, likewise I checked the facts. Its a 105 Octane fuel, which composed of an 85% mix of Ethanol, 15% gasoline. It is renewable, high performance, affordable. He runs a 50% mix of E-85 and 91 Octane gas (he reprogrammed his Mustang to run 91 Octane). It saves money compared to this $3.00+ per gallon. E-85 is like $2.30 - with better gas mileage than traditional gas. The byproduct of E-85 is Carbon Dioxide, which plants will consume, which can then be used for more Ethanol [ideally].
I might run a 40/60 Mix of Ethanol and 87 Gas to see how it runs in my car. However, to see if your car is ‘approved’ to run it (ie, if your car is a Flexible Fuel Vehicle), check here.

I believe I am going to save money. Its nice to not worry about it, when you have it saved up. I’m trying to piece together what it will take to save extra cash, without having any real impact on me. For one, I will cut out going to the Bunny Ranch LOL I will also no longer purchase soda anymore - it has no benefits, and costs money. Only exception to this, is RockStar or NOS when doing an overnighter.
MS Money sucks it hardcore. I spent a good two hours to try to customize it to my income flow, and it’s dumb like “OMG NO MONEYZ!!1″ and it upselling its MSN Premium crap too. I think I’ll try Quicken. Good thing I didnt spend money on it, and just get it from the internet for free.
Anyhow, I need to add more non-linear features to how I manage time and money. I currently just run variable figures in my head, and it doesn’t help. I think I’ll start making use of AOL® Calendar and BillPay more than I do now.
My way to save money:
- Less public outings (ie, Bunny Ranch)
- Stop going to eBay so much, isnt always cheaper
- Conserve more when driving when gas exceeds $3.00 a gallon.
- Turn off computer when not in use
We’ll see how this goes. In fact I’ll rant on gas prices, next.
