10/14/2004 08:05:27 PM|||Joe|||Just as a recap recap of the three debates:
Debate 1 - Kerry Won
Debate 2 - Tie (Kerry did well, bush improved)
Debate 3 - Kerry Won
Kerry handled himself very well, which probably shocked people. You'd think the incumbent would win on a debate of what they DID. Kerry kept saying the word "plan" many times, too many I feel. He should have just summarized what the plan was; not just say "Under my plan...we are safer...", "With my plan...we can afford healthcare". It wasnt bad necessarily, he did identify his site a couple times for people to reference and learn his plans in detail, at johnkerry.com. Kerry said a couple bad facts, like Bush.
Bush is a horrible debater, public speaker. The first one, we all know he choked at every response; with his blank-stares and numerous rhetorical statements. He was more prepared for the 2nd debate, it seemed, quicker responses and more forceful (clashing with the moderator at one time). The third debate, you could tell he was trying to change his blank looks to be sarcastic looks. Bush said some inaccurate facts; in a condecending way of course.
FactCheck.ORG is a bipartisan site that checks facts that both candidates claim. Affiliated with University of Pennsylvania, and Annenberg Center. Check it out, only takes a couple minutes; and is in a simple easy-to-read format.
Anyhow, the debates were informing; as both get "free" air-time to get their ideas across.|||109780954029143137|||Recap of the Three Debates
