10/19/2004 02:42:47 AM|||Joe|||I want to have a LAN party, and probably could turn out an easy 50 people, but Maybe this November! :D
My new schedule could [in theory] permit me to set one up. I wish games didnt cost so much money to purchase, the average cost for a decent game is about $45.00; which is rediculous I think. I know since we use it so much, it does deserve a healthy amount. I also do commend them to not do it the HL2-Plan where its $10/month or something. Thats, like $120/year to play a game.
So, back on topic; what games should be played? Here is my suggestion:
- Unreal Tournament 2003 & 2004 (the best graphics engine so far)
- CounterStrike (its a classic, and is pretty inexpensive)
- Halo (hm, we can debate on that, but is somewhat fun)
- Day of Defeat
- Battlefield Vietnam
Another thing I noticed are non-computer gaming activities. I suggest the following:
- War Driving (competition, or as a team?)
- Phreaking (showing off our 1337 tone dialers)
- Dumpster Diving (competing for best value?)
Anyhow, whatever, the fact I spent time to write this probaqbly means I want one pretty bad.
Don't you?
