10/12/2004 10:27:03 PM|||Joe|||The Federal Trade Commission is finally getting justice for the people of the internet! For Once, FINALLY!

First lawsuit against a company that produces spyware. It is a "small" operation, but I guess start small then go big. So Hopefully, no CoolWebSearch, eZula, Claria, and other spyware crap that everyone has.

My suggestion; that Microsoft, Dell, HP, Gateway, AOL, NetZero, MSN, and the Network Administrators (that help fix this), get a HUGE settlement against spyware companies (ones that use evasive techniques to prevent uninstallation) to cut checks to all of tech support that deals with this on a daily basis. Hell, a huge online settlement, where ppl post their spybot and ad-aware logs as a form of evidence, and gets $10 per reg. key, and file implanted on the system.

Thanks, FTC, you rock!
